Summer part A

  Here is a review of our summer. To start out we celebrated the end of school by going to Leatherby's for lunch and ice cream treats. I think Lucy had a banana split, Lilly had a black and white, and Glen, Daryl and I shared a raspberry rhapsody that had brownie, vanilla ice cream and raspberry topping. Everyone got a taste of what everyone else chose as a treat. Very yummy! The next thing was our city's parade. It's the only parade I go to. For some reason I don't like them as much as an adult and they bring out my control freak side. They throw candy from the floats and what not and my kids (all of the kids really) seem to get closer and closer to the middle of the road as the parade goes on. It's long too. Like 100 entries, and I think all of the grown ups are ready for it to be over with at 60. It's tradition though so we go. My hypocrisy at it's best

It's summer.  I have been avoiding the computer. I think I do that a lot. I have what I call a semi smart phone though which lets me keep up on blogs and a few other things that luckily include making phone calls and on most days texting.  I keep up on blogs more than I should. I don't feel like I follow too many, (though my husband begs to differ.) but mostly family, a few friends and a couple captivating strangers that can write well and are amazing photographers.  The posts have be slow in coming though and not nearly as frequent as I would like to help keep me entertained. I keep thinking come on people share your summer fun with me. And here is where my hypocrisy comes in.  This is my first post since our official summer began. I haven't posted in July till now but really want others too.  So there you have it.     My excuse is that Lilly is out of school for 25 days for summer break. Then on to the next year.
