It’s time to…

I don’t have much to say about this week. It happened with some highs and lows. I was kind of in a funk. I am trying to work out of it. Life has changed a lot in the last month. I have to keep moving forward.  I’ll just explain what is happening in pictures.  I quilted this quilt this week and one other one not pictured.  Goob, courtesy of one of the kids  Last minute I ended up using the extra ticket that Larry and Janene had for Andrea Bocelli. Janae backed out and Lucy was suppose to fill the spot. She really needed to stay home and work on homework so I went. It was beautiful music. Knowing Italian would have been helpful.  Last picture of Lilly at 18.  This picture above and below are what Lilly sent me of what she wanted her birthday treat to look like.  Heart shaped cake with colorful frosting.  This was what she got. It checked the boxes. We went to Archibald’s restaurant in Gardener Village for dinner with Larry and Janene to celebrate Li...

My teaching station on the fourth grade field trip to Camp Floyd- pony express way station. I know all kinds of fun facts about it now and multi- step directions are hard for kids to follow.  The little girls enjoyed visiting Ellie’s neighbor’s goats.  Flowering fruitless cherry tree blossoms up in Layton at PTA convention.  Our district superintendent, Dr. Godfrey in the superintendent’s rock band playing at PTA convention. He is second from the right at the mic with the guitar.  Last team huddle  End of the season team photo- L to R- Addison, Lucy Berkeley, Bree, Eliza, Coach Bailee, Laila, Vanessa, Boston, Mayzee, Abbie. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile you could miss it.  What a week.  Good things from this week were- Getting a client quilt done and delivered. Going on the fourth grade field trip with Ru...

Right here, right how

Here is a little update on us right now.  Lilly- finished up her second semester of college, has gone on a couple more dates/ hang outs with guys she use to work with at Walmart. Is trying to figure out what to do with all her time now school is out and she is unemployed. Talking about a mission or teaching English abroad. Comes home to do laundry so we get to see her almost weekly!  Lucy- is grinding out the last month of her sophomore year academically, mostly APEuro which she decided, “The test is not for me.” Playing as much volleyball as she can between open gym at the high school and club practice, enjoying the dog daycare job she has. Went to MORP with a kid, Walker, who she didn’t really know but was friends with the dates of her friends in her group. It was fun but she was not impressed. She may have compared his IQ to a potato which is a risk you take with sophomore boys.  Daryl- is finishing up 6th grade with ease, just finished his last week of safety patrol, ...

Time goes bye - week of April 24

I had to clear some space on my phone and came across this picture Marian probably sent me. It’s such a good one. I sure do miss this lady.  Monday was rough. Nothing was normal or routine about it. The kids and Glen were off of school. I had taken it easy after the funeral and I was ready to get back to my routine and what I do/did. And it’s gone. The switch has been flipped off. Grief hit hard.  Poor Glen got the brunt of it. I let it all out. Looking back it was a lot of grief and being scared of the great unknown. Though it’s not really unknown. It’s just uncomfortable and not what my routine has been.  Tuesday and the rest of the week were better. I went to Evelyn’s one day and got some things I needed from the house. It’s still weird being there with out Evelyn or Roberta, so I didn’t stay long. I started working more intently on a quilt I have on the long arm. It is all free motion quilting, run by me and not the computer. I have been working on catching up ...
