Questions to Answer

1. If you could escape to anywhere in the world that you haven't been where would it be? Brazil with my man-it will happen some day, just not in the foreseeable future.

2. What song do you play when you are by yourself in the car? More likely than not, nothing. I'd just enjoy the silence!

3. If you had a night to yourself, and money was no object, what would you do?
Hire someone to help me organize and de-junk the house and we would work in to the wee hours of the morning to get it all done. How boring is that and what does that say about the state of my house?

4. What is your guilty pleasure?
A properly dished ice cream cone- flavor doesn't matter as long as the ice cream is pushed in to the cone so you have some with even the last bite and it starts to soften the cone up some! Mmmm so good. Glen makes fun of me for it.

5. What is the farthest place you have traveled away from your home?
The south part of Mexico

6. Last book that you couldn't put down?
I really can't remember, which is so bad. I need to read more. It needs to be my CNA handbook so I can get ready to take tests.

7. When you want to escape into another time, what movie do you watch?
I really don't know I don't watch movies enough, or at least not recently enough to remember.

8. What is your favorite local escape?
Any where with Glen, but my house tends to be an escape from the Crane's and the Crane's tends to be an escape for my house.

9. How do you escape on a budget?
Go for a hike somewhere.

10. Best food you've ever had while on vacation?
I had a really good real Philly cheese steak and ice cream while in Philadelphia once!

L is for the way...

I watched this video and it sealed the deal on this post. I have all sorts of things I could write about, but this has been at the front of my mind for a while. I have really been affected this past year by the divorces of two different couples I know. Not that, I haven't known any one before that has gotten divorced. These have just hit closer to home. One of them is Glen's boss, and Glen has worked with him lately. (This is not the norm. He can go months with out seeing him. He just goes in to work, sees what he's doing that night and goes out.) In working with him, they have talked about stuff and something he said to Glen has really made me think. I wasn't there but it was something to the extent of, "You guys are so lucky, because you love each other, just really love each other." My first thought to this was- yes, yes we do. Then I thought how sad that he and not every married couple have that. The just of all of this rambling is that I love my ...

My cup with blessings overflows

I am trying to get back in the habit of blogging. Before I go to bed, even though I should be in bed here are blessings from this week. I don’t know it I will remember them all there were so many.  Being home to attend church with our ward.  Talks from two sister in our ward, Louisa Jones who is a brand new young woman and Holly Draney who is the Primary President, on Sister Kristin Yee’s conference talk, that complimented each other well.  They reminded me that God is in the details and even when mistakes are made he can use it to help us learn and bless us. Louisa talked about how she was mad when her parents decided they should move a few years ago but Heavely Father has made it work out. Holly brought up the definitions of the words possibility and joy. She also talked about repairing quilts that had things happen to them. Also a talk from Matt Reeves about the power of the priesthood and how it has blessed his life and has preserved his life.  A great less...

Head to the hills- July 7-14

Good things from this week were- Getting dirt to fill the planter box Daryl made for Grandpa Richins. It’s ready for him to use now!  Getting ready for girls camp. Watching Lucy play volleyball in a tournament at UVU with high school team girls. It’s crazy that is her last one as a high school player.  Eating dinner on the roof and watching the sunset. Girls camp, even the one bad part.  Showering after girls camp Sunday dinner at Larry and Janene's and playing with the whip These cool plants were at the nursery we got soil from. I think I might want some in my yard.  Lucy played in a volleyball tournament at UVU with the high school team.  Lucy thought eating on the roof would be a good idea one night so we could watch the sunset better. She was right. Though Ruth but mostly Beth got pretty comfortable exploring up there. My mom safety barometer went quite high till they got down.  The Oquirrh Mountain temple fit right between the trees for a perfect view....
