Two down fourty eight to go. I have finished reading two books, The Mansion by Henry Van Dyke and Born to Run Christopher McDougall. The first was short and easy. It's a good book to help you remember what is important and to do good with out thought for the credit you'll get.
The second book, I really liked too. I listened to it, which was good and bad. It made it so I could get through it fast but the language was rough and I think if I had read the book I would have been able to skip it better. Aside from the language I found it very interesting and it's made me want to look in to minimalist shoes.
In the process of doing this reading or listening I have realized I need be careful the books I listen too with my kids. Born to Run as well as the one of the books I am listening to now, 29 Gifts, use language I don't and I don't want my kids listening to it. It also made me wonder if I should really be listening to it. I know that language is part of most of the regular world but I wish they didn't have to include it in their writing. Aren't there other words to use?
I have two or three books I am trying to read right now along with the scriptures. I have decided to read the Old and New Testaments, but backwards. Not completely backwards like starting with the last word, just reading the last book first and the first book last. I'm weird I know. There are a bunch that are on my list too read, that have been recommended to me. When I get a chance I'll make a list of all these books incase anyone is interested. And I am always open for more recommendations!

I like your idea of reading the scriptures backwards. You'll have to report what insights you get from doing it. Maybe I'll even try it!
