We have finally painted walls in the basement. Glen is a trooper and let me choose the colors. Hehehe! I tried not to go too crazy, but I do like color. Foaming, sneeze weed,
summer squash, south castle, copper cornice and white for the trim is
what I went with. I guess Lucy helped pick summer squash. Now that they
are all on the walls Glen made the comment that the basement is like an
ice cream parlor
Vanilla and mint or south castle and copper cornice are in the family room, above and below.
A bad picture of the bubble gum or foaming in the laundry room, above and below summer squash or orange sherbet in Daryl's room. It seems sunnier in real life. Glen also compared it to a sunset.
Above south castle/ vanilla in the master bedroom and hallway that leads to the bathroom, walk in closet and laundry room. Below, lime sherbet or sneeze weed in the storage room. I know storage rooms are usually white but I couldn't do it. Glen isn't a big fan of bold colors on walls, but I had been thinking about a color like this in the storage room just for fun. In one of our conversations about basement stuff he ask if the storage room was going to be white or if I wanted it some crazy color like lime green or something. I didn't really tell him or make a decision at the time but when I got to the paint store to get the paint I thought, "why not?", and since I didn't have a good reason not too I got it and I must say I love it!
Pardon all the junk and stuff in the way, we haven't cleaned up all the painting and whatever other tools that seem to have spread through out the basement. Also since we have been painting we haven't hung the doors yet so they are propped up where ever.
We are so close to being done! I feel like I am breathing easier having this project being mostly done. What we have left to do is finish electrical, cabinets, finish plumbing, actually the whole bathroom we haven't really done much with, and flooring, as well as some touch up painting.
Anyone with a fun bathroom color let me know. I feel like it needs some color too, other than the south castle yellow color.

For the bathroom--how about an eggplant purple or a dark charcoal gray? I think it would be elegant with your vanilla color. I also pretty much love my turquoise and terra cotta bathroom in my basement.
So glad to hear you're making progress and getting closer to done. Such a huge project!
