It has been awhile

Life has been moving right along. I think just when I feel like I am getting in to some kind of grove something changes. Summer has brought its own changes and challenges from online school.   Here are some things from this past week that feel like blessings.  Going on a long walk with Glen on Father’s Day morning, and then spending the day with the kids and his parents.  Larry and Janene had a camp site at Granite Flats up American Fork canyon so we went up there for the evening. A few things weren’t great like being eaten by mosquitoes and the radiator revisor on the motorhome leaking but mostly it was great. Topher even came up with them. It was the first time we have seen him in a long time. It was great to see how much he is growing and changing and to have little time around him. Glen being able to find the right part and fix the radiator part before they brought the motorhome down the mountain. Carpooling with other parents to get Lucy and her friends to ...

Sweet 16 during quarantine

May 18th,  Lilly turned 16. I had contemplated several things we could do for her birthday but thoughts and action didn’t meet up well this year.  It was mostly a normal day but there was a bunch of celebrating at the end!  We made sure we were home in time for the friends who dropped by at 1800. Everyone thought it was hilarious.  They had a mostly social distant gathering in our...

May 11-17

Here is a breakdown of the week in reverse order or something close to that because that’s how my pictures loaded. Sunday- Glen and I went on a long walk in the morning with the dogs. We startled the family of geese on the remnants of an old bridge. Just after I took the picture the goslings all jumped in to the canal. Glen and I were both caught a little off guard by it. It seemed like such a high height for them. We cleaned the house and finally found the top of the air hockey table. The kids actually play it now!  Larry and Janene came over for dinner as well as M’Li, Paige and Azya. (Refer to Paige’s blog for a picture.) It was so fun to have guests and to visit with them.  Before going to bed the big girls started to talk to Glen about a different bed arrangement so they could have more space in their room. We ended up switching the big girl’s beds with the little girls. It has been a good thing so far. Saturday- Daryl, Ruth and Beth got to swim at our neighbors in their ...
