Labor day week brought on waves of fall weather. It significantly cooled off Monday night. It’s good the grand kids had that sleepover and two last swims in. It is probably safe to say the pool is closed for the season, unless you want something like an ice recovery bath.
I tried to take more pictures this week. I am trying to catch up from missing last week and don’t remember a lot of what we did. Mostly normal stuff like school and work and volleyball practice and Shakespeare team practice and quilting and piano practice and PTA meetings. We also celebrated Daryl’s birthday and remembered 9/11.

This was a bag of chips at Evelyn’s that Lucy go out. Evelyn was not a fan of the grin. I thought it was funny.
Joe stopped in to visit Evelyn after he came home from fighting wild fires in California. He was home 30 hours and got sent out again. He is now in Oregon working on wildfires.
Ruth found her makeup kit the night of Daryl’s birthday and Grandma Richins was nice enough to let Ruth put some on her. We celebrated our fun Daryl boy.

On 9/11 our city did a synchronized fire work show at three different parks, in remembrance of that fateful day 19 years ago. Glen was working a football game and Lilly and Lucy were with friends so the littles and I got on the roof and enjoyed seeing most of all three shows.

This is a not so super picture of the Sun Bonnet quilt that I got done and finally mailed back to it’s owner. Luckily she loves it!
This is a fun cowboy quilt I quilted for my mom’s friend. The pattern had a boot, cowboy hat, saddle and bucking bronco. I did a farm themed baby size blanket for the same lady that was really fun but I forgot to take a picture of it.
