Well, the auctioneer was goin' 'bout a mile a minute

Here is a lot of what we did this week and the abundance of  good involved in them-
Lucy went to volleyball camp at BYU. She was in volleyball heaven.
We had the Kalbes’s come over for dinner Monday night. It’s been too long since we spent time with them. It was fun.
Glen got the motorhome sold for Larry and Janene. It was perfect timing, since his schedule is about to get a busier.
I took five of our goats to auction, after having them for sale on line for about a month. They sold quickly and for a lot more than we had them advertised online.
Lilly went to Girls camp.
Ruth had her first appointment to get pictures for her orthodontic gear.
Glen got to go out to lunch with a friend from high school and catch up after not seeing him for a couple years.
Aunt Melodee, Uncle John and Sarah arrived at Evelyn’s to visit for a few days on their cross country visiting tour.
Lucy got done with volleyball camp, came home to rearrange clothes and left for girl’s camp.
The younger kids all came with me when I stayed with Evelyn this week. They had fun visiting with her in bed in the morning.
Jed and Jill watch the younger kids while I went to a live event for my life coach.
Glen left work early to pick Lilly up from Girl’s camp, while I was at the life coach event.
Lilly went to her friend’s Quincenera and had a great time. She has figured out a way to enjoy dances more.
Glen and I figured out how we are related by messing around on the Family Tree app.
Glen and Daryl went on a Sunday adventure drive to Henefer, Utah and found a bunch of family.
There was a Bodell family reunion of sorts on Sunday.

Scooter, one of the goats we no longer have.
If you ever wondered Glen and I are 8th cousins once removed.
Hummingbirds

Evelyn really liked Daryl’s pillow and narrowed it a couple nights.
Daryl found the remote to the hospital bed and had some fun until Evelyn had had enough fun for one morning.
Lucy’s group from volleyball camp
Lucy with some of her favorite volleyball players.

Brooke White and her band provided some entertainment at the live coaching event I went too. It was fun and a good refresher of things.
Cousins visiting and playing

Three of the four husbands of the Bodell girls
Sarah and I are twins because of our hair. She’s the best.
The crew we had assembled. There were three more that came later that didn’t make the picture.
We celebrated all the August Birthdays because it was Aunt Melodee’s birthday that day. We put the right amount of candles on the cake for each person. 139 total.
The sisters- Lisa, Melodee, Stephaine, Maridean
Evelyn didn’t want to participate in pictures with them.
Sarah saying good bye to Evelyn. They left the next day.

I never did figure out how to enjoy having fun while going to High School dances. I did a pretty good job at pretending though. I'm glad your daughter is better at it. I mean really enjoying it.

L is for the way...

I watched this video and it sealed the deal on this post. I have all sorts of things I could write about, but this has been at the front of my mind for a while. I have really been affected this past year by the divorces of two different couples I know. Not that, I haven't known any one before that has gotten divorced. These have just hit closer to home. One of them is Glen's boss, and Glen has worked with him lately. (This is not the norm. He can go months with out seeing him. He just goes in to work, sees what he's doing that night and goes out.) In working with him, they have talked about stuff and something he said to Glen has really made me think. I wasn't there but it was something to the extent of, "You guys are so lucky, because you love each other, just really love each other." My first thought to this was- yes, yes we do. Then I thought how sad that he and not every married couple have that. The just of all of this rambling is that I love my ...

My cup with blessings overflows

I am trying to get back in the habit of blogging. Before I go to bed, even though I should be in bed here are blessings from this week. I don’t know it I will remember them all there were so many.  Being home to attend church with our ward.  Talks from two sister in our ward, Louisa Jones who is a brand new young woman and Holly Draney who is the Primary President, on Sister Kristin Yee’s conference talk, that complimented each other well.  They reminded me that God is in the details and even when mistakes are made he can use it to help us learn and bless us. Louisa talked about how she was mad when her parents decided they should move a few years ago but Heavely Father has made it work out. Holly brought up the definitions of the words possibility and joy. She also talked about repairing quilts that had things happen to them. Also a talk from Matt Reeves about the power of the priesthood and how it has blessed his life and has preserved his life.  A great less...

Head to the hills- July 7-14

Good things from this week were- Getting dirt to fill the planter box Daryl made for Grandpa Richins. It’s ready for him to use now!  Getting ready for girls camp. Watching Lucy play volleyball in a tournament at UVU with high school team girls. It’s crazy that is her last one as a high school player.  Eating dinner on the roof and watching the sunset. Girls camp, even the one bad part.  Showering after girls camp Sunday dinner at Larry and Janene's and playing with the whip These cool plants were at the nursery we got soil from. I think I might want some in my yard.  Lucy played in a volleyball tournament at UVU with the high school team.  Lucy thought eating on the roof would be a good idea one night so we could watch the sunset better. She was right. Though Ruth but mostly Beth got pretty comfortable exploring up there. My mom safety barometer went quite high till they got down.  The Oquirrh Mountain temple fit right between the trees for a perfect view....
