I Love You a Bushel and a Peck

Here is some photographic evidence of good things from this week.
Monkeys in a tree. One up high and one down low. Also nice enough weather. No jacket in February.
Raif, Ellie, Beth and Evelyn eating chicken nuggets together. These kids keep Evelyn on her toes and Evelyn keeps all of us on our toes.
Lucy’s team and coach at their AZ tournament. She is having lots of good learning experiences with out us.
Beth photographing Glen and Goob. He does a lot of good for us.
Goob being a good and patient dog for a Beth or Ruth inspired photo shoot.

Daryl getting a haircut and getting ready to light a candle. I might give up on cutting his hair and leave it to the professionals. It works for now.

A couple quilts getting quilted. I haven’t taken pictures of the other yet.  The black at the top of the quilt has the name of the little boy that is getting this quilt. It just hasn’t been cut out yet.
A pretty setting moon on a morning walk.
Having your jumpsuit, nails and truck all match for your sweetheart’s dance date. Jumpsuits have pros and cons at dances but maybe keep you a little warmer during pictures.

Hugging evidence.
Ruth’s drawing that had to be documented.
A stuffy that has to be rocked to sleep.
Fun little girls that are growing up and did those puzzles all on their own.

Other things of note from the week good, bad or neutral.-

Having pictures to post of everyone from this week.

Having to pick which kid to support in person this weekend and not being able to be in two places at once.

Listening to some good podcasts this week while quilting.

Listening to scriptures and the CFM lesson for the week and thinking the Bible is not for the faint of heart, it talks about some very adult things. Some stuff  I probably wouldn’t read about if it weren’t in that book. It gave me a lot to think about.

A good division in Sunday school about Abraham and Isaac.

Evelyn didn’t have as good a week as last week but she still seems to be on an up tick. I don’t know if that is good or bad. This roller coaster ride we are on with her is pretty wild right now.

We made it through Valentine’s Day and everyone had valentines to take to school that needed them.

I love all the things you post! The monkeys in the tree are fun and a little heart-stopping when you see how high they want to climb. And the portrait of Glen with Goob is just wonderful! Like maybe you should keep it and frame it. Also the red jumper is super fabulous!

What a snazzy fingernail and jumpsuit combo! Love the photo of Glen with Goob. I hope you and Evelyn can hang in there.

L is for the way...

I watched this video and it sealed the deal on this post. I have all sorts of things I could write about, but this has been at the front of my mind for a while. I have really been affected this past year by the divorces of two different couples I know. Not that, I haven't known any one before that has gotten divorced. These have just hit closer to home. One of them is Glen's boss, and Glen has worked with him lately. (This is not the norm. He can go months with out seeing him. He just goes in to work, sees what he's doing that night and goes out.) In working with him, they have talked about stuff and something he said to Glen has really made me think. I wasn't there but it was something to the extent of, "You guys are so lucky, because you love each other, just really love each other." My first thought to this was- yes, yes we do. Then I thought how sad that he and not every married couple have that. The just of all of this rambling is that I love my ...

My cup with blessings overflows

I am trying to get back in the habit of blogging. Before I go to bed, even though I should be in bed here are blessings from this week. I don’t know it I will remember them all there were so many.  Being home to attend church with our ward.  Talks from two sister in our ward, Louisa Jones who is a brand new young woman and Holly Draney who is the Primary President, on Sister Kristin Yee’s conference talk, that complimented each other well.  They reminded me that God is in the details and even when mistakes are made he can use it to help us learn and bless us. Louisa talked about how she was mad when her parents decided they should move a few years ago but Heavely Father has made it work out. Holly brought up the definitions of the words possibility and joy. She also talked about repairing quilts that had things happen to them. Also a talk from Matt Reeves about the power of the priesthood and how it has blessed his life and has preserved his life.  A great less...

Head to the hills- July 7-14

Good things from this week were- Getting dirt to fill the planter box Daryl made for Grandpa Richins. It’s ready for him to use now!  Getting ready for girls camp. Watching Lucy play volleyball in a tournament at UVU with high school team girls. It’s crazy that is her last one as a high school player.  Eating dinner on the roof and watching the sunset. Girls camp, even the one bad part.  Showering after girls camp Sunday dinner at Larry and Janene's and playing with the whip These cool plants were at the nursery we got soil from. I think I might want some in my yard.  Lucy played in a volleyball tournament at UVU with the high school team.  Lucy thought eating on the roof would be a good idea one night so we could watch the sunset better. She was right. Though Ruth but mostly Beth got pretty comfortable exploring up there. My mom safety barometer went quite high till they got down.  The Oquirrh Mountain temple fit right between the trees for a perfect view....
