November came

A small snapshot of Halloween and the first half of November. There was lots of other life lived but these were good moments recorded photographically, with a few descriptions.
We visited Evelyn and all the grandparents on Halloween before trick or treating. Evelyn was happy to see the grandkids but didn’t want any other trick or treaters.
Beth was up early one morning and took this picture of the sunrise for me.
Halloween 2022- Daryl the UPS guy, Ruth the Light Furry dragon from How to Train Your Dragon 3, Beth-Jasmine, Lucy-mummy, she just pulled a costume out of the costume box.

Above is what Lucy looked like at the start of her orthodontic care. Below is the happy day the races came off and she almost completed that care!

Cool Gunner, he deals with a lot of shenanigans from the kids.
I came home from takingLucy to school one morning and found both little girls hovering over the heating vents warming up before school. Silly girls

More loving on Tipper. Beth, Anna and Ellie

I can’t remember what was happening this morning with Evelyn but she was up for a picture and it was a really good morning. I think we had a good chat on her bed while she was getting up the ambition to go to the bathroom.
We borrowed Joe’s family’s gorilla costume before Halloween and have been having a lot of fun in it. Wearing it while in the passenger seat of the car is a favorite, to see people’s reactions and wave to them.

Hooray for being done with braces! Congrats to Lucy. I loved the selfie of you and Evelyn. The costumes were so much fun - especially the gorilla costume. Who wears it when you drive around???

Lucy is just beautiful! And I am so glad Evelyn has you to lovingly take care of her. We have a sister in our ward who died recently alone at home and wasn't found for days. It's heartbreaking. And a big YES to driving around with a gorilla in the passenger seat. You guys are so much fun!

L is for the way...

I watched this video and it sealed the deal on this post. I have all sorts of things I could write about, but this has been at the front of my mind for a while. I have really been affected this past year by the divorces of two different couples I know. Not that, I haven't known any one before that has gotten divorced. These have just hit closer to home. One of them is Glen's boss, and Glen has worked with him lately. (This is not the norm. He can go months with out seeing him. He just goes in to work, sees what he's doing that night and goes out.) In working with him, they have talked about stuff and something he said to Glen has really made me think. I wasn't there but it was something to the extent of, "You guys are so lucky, because you love each other, just really love each other." My first thought to this was- yes, yes we do. Then I thought how sad that he and not every married couple have that. The just of all of this rambling is that I love my ...

My cup with blessings overflows

I am trying to get back in the habit of blogging. Before I go to bed, even though I should be in bed here are blessings from this week. I don’t know it I will remember them all there were so many.  Being home to attend church with our ward.  Talks from two sister in our ward, Louisa Jones who is a brand new young woman and Holly Draney who is the Primary President, on Sister Kristin Yee’s conference talk, that complimented each other well.  They reminded me that God is in the details and even when mistakes are made he can use it to help us learn and bless us. Louisa talked about how she was mad when her parents decided they should move a few years ago but Heavely Father has made it work out. Holly brought up the definitions of the words possibility and joy. She also talked about repairing quilts that had things happen to them. Also a talk from Matt Reeves about the power of the priesthood and how it has blessed his life and has preserved his life.  A great less...

Head to the hills- July 7-14

Good things from this week were- Getting dirt to fill the planter box Daryl made for Grandpa Richins. It’s ready for him to use now!  Getting ready for girls camp. Watching Lucy play volleyball in a tournament at UVU with high school team girls. It’s crazy that is her last one as a high school player.  Eating dinner on the roof and watching the sunset. Girls camp, even the one bad part.  Showering after girls camp Sunday dinner at Larry and Janene's and playing with the whip These cool plants were at the nursery we got soil from. I think I might want some in my yard.  Lucy played in a volleyball tournament at UVU with the high school team.  Lucy thought eating on the roof would be a good idea one night so we could watch the sunset better. She was right. Though Ruth but mostly Beth got pretty comfortable exploring up there. My mom safety barometer went quite high till they got down.  The Oquirrh Mountain temple fit right between the trees for a perfect view....
