Would you like it in a book

 March 4-10-

Things to be grateful for this week-

Marian, Ali, and Jed taking care of Dad while Mom went to Bryce Canyon for a quilt retreat with her sisters and friends.

People signing up and showing up to help with book fair.

Fitting in a visit to Barbra between book fair sales times.

Celebrating Janene’s birthday and seeing Janae, Josh and Amberlee, Josh’s girlfriend, at  Texas Roadhouse. We also saw Kaden Neilson with friends there but didn’t bug him.

Having a very supportive school community that makes the book fair so much better than I ever imagine.

Seeing Lucy a little bit before her volleyball tournament in Colorado.

Having Lucy come home injury free from her tournament; a team mate and her coach’s daughter did not. :(

Help from Larry to get kids places they needed to be while I was running the book fair after school.

Getting back to back dates with Glen!

Going on a double date with Matt and Stephaine Reeves to Tosconos on Friday.

Going to see Fiddler on the Roof at Hale Center Theater with Glen on Saturday.  It was so well done.

Good stake conference meetings, that I was able to attend.

Having Larry and Janene come over for dinner to celebrate Janene and Ruth’s birthdays on Sunday and Lilly joining us.

Beth amused herself taking pictures on Friday while I was finishing up book fair for the week. She was a really good sport.

Barbra had just gotten a hair cut and I wanted to she her how good she looked so we did a selfie. Her daughter-in-law and I also decorated her walker and wheelchair  because her mobility and balance have changed a lot in the last two weeks.
Part of the book fair set up. It consumed most of my week like it does when it happens.
Celebrating Janene!

That takes a whole lot of goodness to sign up to help with book fair--and it looks like you may even be in charge of it! I don't think I have that much goodness in me. I may also be a little jealous you got to celebrate Janene. She is just wonderful. I am proud of Beth for being patient. That is hard. Thank you for the fun pictures!

Oh these busy weeks!! You sure do get a lot done in a week! Especially with book fair. I'm so impressed with you for taking that on. What a huge endeavor. I too loved seeing pictures of my auntie and uncle! Thank you for sharing all the fun! (And you got to see Josh and his girlfriend - all the tea!!!)

Great job on the book fair! You did that with everything else in your life. I'm impressed.

L is for the way...

I watched this video and it sealed the deal on this post. I have all sorts of things I could write about, but this has been at the front of my mind for a while. I have really been affected this past year by the divorces of two different couples I know. Not that, I haven't known any one before that has gotten divorced. These have just hit closer to home. One of them is Glen's boss, and Glen has worked with him lately. (This is not the norm. He can go months with out seeing him. He just goes in to work, sees what he's doing that night and goes out.) In working with him, they have talked about stuff and something he said to Glen has really made me think. I wasn't there but it was something to the extent of, "You guys are so lucky, because you love each other, just really love each other." My first thought to this was- yes, yes we do. Then I thought how sad that he and not every married couple have that. The just of all of this rambling is that I love my ...

My cup with blessings overflows

I am trying to get back in the habit of blogging. Before I go to bed, even though I should be in bed here are blessings from this week. I don’t know it I will remember them all there were so many.  Being home to attend church with our ward.  Talks from two sister in our ward, Louisa Jones who is a brand new young woman and Holly Draney who is the Primary President, on Sister Kristin Yee’s conference talk, that complimented each other well.  They reminded me that God is in the details and even when mistakes are made he can use it to help us learn and bless us. Louisa talked about how she was mad when her parents decided they should move a few years ago but Heavely Father has made it work out. Holly brought up the definitions of the words possibility and joy. She also talked about repairing quilts that had things happen to them. Also a talk from Matt Reeves about the power of the priesthood and how it has blessed his life and has preserved his life.  A great less...

Head to the hills- July 7-14

Good things from this week were- Getting dirt to fill the planter box Daryl made for Grandpa Richins. It’s ready for him to use now!  Getting ready for girls camp. Watching Lucy play volleyball in a tournament at UVU with high school team girls. It’s crazy that is her last one as a high school player.  Eating dinner on the roof and watching the sunset. Girls camp, even the one bad part.  Showering after girls camp Sunday dinner at Larry and Janene's and playing with the whip These cool plants were at the nursery we got soil from. I think I might want some in my yard.  Lucy played in a volleyball tournament at UVU with the high school team.  Lucy thought eating on the roof would be a good idea one night so we could watch the sunset better. She was right. Though Ruth but mostly Beth got pretty comfortable exploring up there. My mom safety barometer went quite high till they got down.  The Oquirrh Mountain temple fit right between the trees for a perfect view....
