Once there was a snow pile tall, tall, tall

 The main event of the week was  the snow storm that came in Tuesday night and stayed till Wednesday evening leaving us with at least a foot of snow.  It changed all the plans we had which was kind of good and kind of not so great. 

Since we live in post Covid shut down, we didn’t get snow days but virtual learning days on Wednesday and Thursday because of the amount of snow that came. Then the elementary kids had Friday off because it was parent teacher conferences, which were moved to zoom. 

We shoveled a lot of snow at our house neighbor houses and and grandparent’s houses. Ellie found her brave and slept over at our house. We remembered just how much we like in person learning instead of virtual learning. We are grateful we don’t have to make up school days though. 

I found out how flexible Costa Vida is with catering. I had food ordered to feed teachers on Wednesday night but then had to change the order two times when school was made virtual again on Thursday. I was so glad they were willing to work with me. 

We finished this puzzle which was harder than we thought it would be.

We are really thankful for neighbors with plows on their trucks and tractors they pile snow with.

Wow! All that snow! It's hard for us to even imagine. Reno has been hit hard this year too (it's about the same elevation and latitude as SLC) so Faith has been reporting out in the cold this winter. You are so good to help your neighbors and your have these amazing snow plows to help!!

That is so much snow!!! Dramatic and kind of fun--except for virtual school days. Your quilt is beautiful and your snow shoveling kids are beautiful and the moon is beautiful too. I am so glad Ellie found her brave.

July 15-19  Early Monday morning we went to the Provo airport to head to John Wayne airport then down to San Diego to celebrate Larry and Janene's 50th wedding anniversary. We met up with everyone but Josh and his girlfriend, Amberlee in Provo. They left earlier and drove so they could visit her family as well. My dad is a bit John Wayne fan so we had to take a picture with The Duke at his airport for him.  Once we had our luggage, rental van and food in our bellies we had to get sand between our toes and salt water at least on our feet. My cup with blessings overflows

 I am trying to get back in the habit of blogging. Before I go to bed, even though I should be in bed here are blessings from this week. I don’t know it I will remember them all there were so many.  Being home to attend church with our ward.  Talks from two sister in our ward, Louisa Jones who is a brand new young woman and Holly Draney who is the Primary President, on Sister Kristin Yee’s conference talk, that complimented each other well.  They reminded me that God is in the details and even when mistakes are made he can use it to help us learn and bless us. Louisa talked about how she was mad when her parents decided they should move a few years ago but Heavely Father has made it work out. Holly brought up the definitions of the words possibility and joy. She also talked about repairing quilts that had things happen to them. Also a talk from Matt Reeves about the power of the priesthood and how it has blessed his life and has preserved his life.  A great less...
