Here is the scene you need to see from them Swiss family Robinson to understand Lilly’s flag from last week’s post. We have almost made it. We are on day 14 of 14 of quarantine.  On day 15 we are cleared to go to work and school and rejoin society. Yippee!  Here are a few details of how quarantine has worked for us. Sunday September 13 Lilly had symptoms and was tested. She was ask to self isolate at home at least till results came back. That meant staying in a separate room from everyone else and using a separate bathroom. If she did come in to the common areas of the house she needed to have a mask on and try to maintain 6 feet social distance from everyone in the house.  On Tuesday we were notified of the positive test result by a health care worker and given instructions. Lilly needed to continue to self isolate for ten days from her positive test. She needed to clean and sanitiz e her isolation room and bathroom and we needed to clean and sanitize the common areas of...

Sunday the 13th Lilly woke up with a whole bunch of active COVID -19 symptoms. Luckily all mild and not the breathing trouble ones. After some debating and online research I took her to be tested in the afternoon.  We came home and she rested and isolated in the bedroom she shares with Lucy. Lucy got what she needed out of her room and moved in to the family room downstairs on our extra mattress.  Everyone but Lilly went to school and work on Monday because we didn’t have a test result back.  From all the information Glen had from work that was an okay thing to do since we were potentially just exposed. Glen also found out that if Lilly would have been at school Monday, she would have been ask to go home to quarantine because she had been exposed by sitting with in six feet of someone who tested positive for COVID-19 in one of her classes.  Late Monday night I checked online and found Lilly’s results. Labor day week brought on waves of fall weather. It significantly cooled off Monday night. It’s good the grand kids had that sleepover and two last swims in. It is probably safe to say the pool is closed for the season, unless you want something like an ice recovery bath. I tried to take more pictures this week. I am trying to catch up from missing last week and don’t remember a lot of what we did. Mostly normal stuff like school and work and volleyball practice and Shakespeare team practice and quilting and piano practice and PTA meetings.  We also celebrated Daryl’s birthday and remembered 9/11.  This was a bag of chips at Evelyn’s that Lucy go out. Evelyn was not a fan of the grin.
