Good things from this week were-
Getting dirt to fill the planter box Daryl made for Grandpa Richins. It’s ready for him to use now!
Getting ready for girls camp.
Watching Lucy play volleyball in a tournament at UVU with high school team girls. It’s crazy that is her last one as a high school player.
Eating dinner on the roof and watching the sunset.
Girls camp, even the one bad part.
Showering after girls camp
Sunday dinner at Larry and Janene's and playing with the whip
Lucy played in a volleyball tournament at UVU with the high school team.
Lucy thought eating on the roof would be a good idea one night so we could watch the sunset better. She was right. Though Ruth but mostly Beth got pretty comfortable exploring up there. My mom safety barometer went quite high till they got down.
The Oquirrh Mountain temple fit right between the trees for a perfect view.
Girls camp fire
The end of the week I went to stake girls camp with ten of the girls from our ward. We had a few more girls and a couple leaders that we missed. It was lots of fun. We went to Camp Mantua, that is a church owned camp. The drive in to camp was a fun off roading drive with some blind hills and corners and well worn road. We had lots of discussion about why Mantua was spelled the way it is but pronounced Mana way. We had one of our girls come in wrong from zip lining and break her ankle. It was so sad. She was such a trooper. I got to drive her back down that crazy road to meet her mom in Brigham City so she could get better medical care. It was great to see how all the girls rallied around her and helped however they could and always included her in any prayers we had afterward. Riverton 5th Ward young women’s camp crew minus Lizzie who went home with a broken ankle.

After Sunday dinner shenanigans.
Playing … carefully with Grandma Richins whip. It was fun to see who could make it crack. Grandma still can! Daryl has it on the driveway with sunglasses as safety glasses.
