- In my neck of the woods November and December decided to switch places, weather wise. I'm not complaining because I have a TON of yard work to do and winter doesn't officially start for another week. At that time I'll be happy for the snow, so we can have a white Christmas!
- It would be nice if we had a grass/leaf collector on our lawn mower. Our yard is the size that raking everything is a daunting task, even though I have had months to do it.
- Despite the fact that I had pictures for our Christmas card earlier than any other year they may be sent out later than any other year.
- Even though my girls have perfectly good beds they have slept in the blanket closet the last two nights. I put the blankets back today and now they are wondering where they are going to sleep.
- After roughly four years and who knows how many ideas/plans, we have finally come up with "the best plan yet" and think it might be a keeper and we are ready to get the basement refinished.
- It's nice to have family that does construction stuff because they can talk you out of ideas that will end up costing you a lot of extra money and help you come up with ideas that use the space and your money more efficiently.
- We have lots of clothes, especially the girls, and I really need to get caught up on my laundry.
- I felt like Scrooge the other day when one of my daughters started reading off her Christmas wish list and I said "no way" to four of the things she ask for with out even thinking- an i pod, a wii, a DS, and a hamster.
- I don't like video games and I would be happy if we never had them, but know I my have to eat those words one day.
- We moved our t.v. down stairs a week or so ago, and haven't hooked it back up yet and I like it! I'm liking this 'thinking out side the box' thing!
- The day after I told my daughter, "no" to the hamster and explained that we have enough animals and need to better care for them before we get more, we got two kittens.
- I'm a sucker.
- When I talked to my husband about taking our girls to see The Nutcracker, he responded in true male fashion by saying," Isn't that a ballet?" while giving a look of shear torture and displeasure!
- I 'm smitten with my little boy and love my girls!
- I love my husband!
July 15-19 Early Monday morning we went to the Provo airport to head to John Wayne airport then down to San Diego to celebrate Larry and Janene's 50th wedding anniversary. We met up with everyone but Josh and his girlfriend, Amberlee in Provo. They left earlier and drove so they could visit her family as well. My dad is a bit John Wayne fan so we had to take a picture with The Duke at his airport for him. Once we had our luggage, rental van and food in our bellies we had to get sand between our toes and salt water at least on our feet. We ate at a fun little place in San Clemente called Cafe Rae. It was really little. Our group of nine took up about half their seats. It was really good food and they had great hospitality. Our next stop was the USS Midway in San Diego. Larry had talked about visiting this and the Saint Mary for a long time. It was one of the main reasons we went to San Diego. It was nice to make it happen. I am not really in to military stuff but it was...
