Life is coming at us fast these days. Really it probably always does but lately it seems if it isn't one thing it is another wither it is planned or not, some good, some not so good. I guess that is life though.
Here are a few of the things that have been happening lately.
Below are random pictures from some of the above mentioned happenings.
Here are a few of the things that have been happening lately.
- Grandpa Richins broke his left ankle May 22. We fixed his sprinkler system and a week or so later built a ramp covering the front steps of his house so he could get in and out of the house more easily.
- Helped at Janae's house to cover for Grandpa. Both projects he was going to do and fixing the hole left in the dry wall from his fall. Celebrated Memorial day too.
- Cleaned, touched up paint, installed flooring, vacuumed and swept the basement and got carpet installed. It still isn't done but so much closer. Carpet makes such a difference, and new carpet is so nice!
- Lillian became an official member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as well as her cousin Cole. Glen was able to perform the baptism and confirmation of both of them. We had a luncheon with all of the families after. It turned out very nice and not nearly as awkward as I had thought it might be. It was a really great day!
- Glen finished up the year at work, with out any casualties! He has lots to do for the coming year. Like reading what he has given as summer reading homework, preparing for a new course, improving the course he has been teaching and will continue to teach, and working on "flipping his classroom."
- Enjoying rides in the pony cart from Grandma Egbert's new pony, Hal. Celebrating Roberta's 96th birthday, and getting ready for Marian's wedding, which Grandma Egbert is making two dresses for, as well as all of the ties for the men folk, and catering. She's crazy but amazing.
- We have enjoyed a few days with the main school goers off. We love having carpet in the basement. Daryl finally got to sleep in a crib an not just the playpen. He also has a room with his stuff in it, instead of having it all over the house. The Rindlisbacher kids help us break in the new carpet and basement with a sleep over, before the school kids went back on track. We love Veggie Tales, especially the Silly Songs!
- We celebrated Grandma and Grandpa Richins 38th wedding anniversary, by going to dinner with just the grown ups in the family.
- We have played musical vehicles so Marian and Grandpa Egbert could have cars to use, since theirs decided to cause trouble amid the wedding prep. Also I helped take the water turn at Evelyn and Roberta's so Grandma Egbert could take Grandpa to get cardioverted again. That heart of his needs to stop beating it's own tune.
