The first few days of June we celebrated Roberta's 97th birthday and then got to visit with Nielson relatives. I took some pictures of those events as you can see below. Though I missed a really good one of Allen sitting on the grass with his babies. All three had legs spread, were sitting up and seemed to be enjoying each others company. It was really a fun thing to witness. I have this great picture of it in my mind that I hope I remember for a long time.
Fast forward to these first few days of July and we were celebrating again, this time the end of the school year (finally) and our country's birthday. This time I did not take pictures. I helped with field day while Lilly participated in it, and Grandma Richins watched the other three kids. Lucy finished up kindergarten the day before with a water party. Our suburban is fixed and running again! We made it to the Riverton parade on the third, but only just barely. We had to have a reminder that when I ask the kids to help or do something, they need to do it. We went to a neighbors and watched their fireworks and visited after the parade. Then on the fourth we cleaned the house some and went swimming and had a barbecue and watched more fireworks with the Egbert side of the family. It has been really nice to have a break from school, even Glen has slacked off studying a bit. There have been a lot of late nights but great visiting, food and celebrating!
I'll have to remember that camera again.
Most of these pictures were taken as we were all packing up to leave. I guess we were enjoying each other too much to bother with pictures before. We loved having a chance to visit with all these great family members. We wouldn't have missed it for anything. I won't comment on all the pictures but I think fun was had by all at some time or another!
