Here are pictures of things we have been up too, in no particular order, the last little bit.

This is a picture from Glen, from one of the many spring sports games he gets to watch. When he got this job I thought we would join him much more than we have. It seems we have our own things we are doing and a full high school sports schedule it not really where we are in life right now.
Ruth turned four in March. She just had her wellness checkup. I mentioned that getting her to eat a variety of things was rather hard. I told the doctor what she would eat and she recommended a multi vitamin because she has a very white diet. I have mixed feelings about the vitamin. I got one for her but we'll keep trying to get her to eat different things in a non power struggle way.
Another picture from Glen. I guess he got to watch a police dog demonstration. They are always really neat.
Oh, Beth! She is pushing Ruth's buttons by wearing her pink cowgirl boots and loving it. We just had our last Sunday before she is officially in nursery. I am really excited. She usually ends up napping during some part of sacrament meeting and Sunday school. It will be really nice to not have to wrestle her while trying to be with the young women.
She is quite the climber and apparently was rather thirsty because she got herself in to the sink. Daryl helped her with the water which was not the best thing to happen but she didn't end up completely drenched so I guess that is success!
Getting Daryl to do his reading homework is a struggle. Lately the thing that has been working the best is to have him go read to Karen, Evelyn and Roberta's neighbor. She is really go with him and he doesn't give her the run around like he does me.
Glen at a softball game.
Daryl and Gunner playing. They had an unfortunate learning event this past week. Gunner is still recovering mentally from it. Daryl has learned his lesson and is happy Gunner didn't get seriously injured. We'll just say that tying a dog's leash to a razor scooter is NOT a good idea.
Evelyn holding Eleanor. I am grateful for the good days that come with the bad as Evelyn and Roberta continue to age and decline. I am always amazed at the spark that comes when they have babies and little kids around, even though they tire them out.
Sorry for the language. This was a new "badge of honor" for Glen. He suspended a student for violating school rules. He says he was very nice, professional and straight forward with the student but he was not happy to be handed the consequences of his actions. This was not the first time he suspended someone but the first time he got backlash on social media for it to his knowledge. The rest of his team said, "Welcome to the club." I am still perplexed at the choice of name calling chosen, was it suppose to be a slam or a compliment? I guess Glen is officially a mean administrator now.
Satuday night to Sunday morning we got snow. It was not the direction we really wanted spring to take. Lilly said, " All the other states are like, "You can't have all four seasons in one day." Utah says, " Ha, just watch me!" Also luckily it was a true spring snow and mostly gone by Sunday afternoon.
Sunday dinner was with the Richins. Janene invited Uncle Neil and Aunt Patricia Richins and Mark and KaLynn Herpel. It was fun visiting with all of them. We always wish Janae and the kids would come more often but that doesn't happen very often.
I should note that Lilly made a lemon meringue pie from scratch and deviled eggs to go with dinner that were very good. So good we didn't get a picture of them. She has been taking a cooking class with her cousin. This was the best thing to come from it thus far. It still had plenty learning experiences but was a good start.
This is amazing forward progress on the bathroom remodel. Glen has the floor set and grouted in the shower now! It is spring break this week. I am hoping not going away to play somewhere will really result in some good positive progress on this project, and maybe some others too because the thought of leaving town and playing sounds very nice. Doing the right grown up thing is hard sometimes.
