Ruth and Ellie
Sheep cupcakes Lilly and I think Lucy made for Karen Gibson for her birthday
They made the frosting, mixed up the cupcakes and made marshmallow fondant for the sheep and used pre- made eyes.
The kids took turns on Monday night(the big girls) and Tuesday night (Daryl and Ruth) having sleepovers with Grandma and Grandpa Richins. The morning activity was visiting DI for new treasures. This horse was one Lilly found.
Lilly has gotten a bit too big for the tractor but she had fun with her horse and it. they even made a little video of it "driving by itself."
Daryl is really cute with Ellie and so is Roberta. They both loving on babies.
We found out that my dad broke his leg from falling on a call he was on at work. It is right by his knee replacement and moved the replacement out from where it should be. He has to have a completely new one put in. That is going to happen May 2. It is going to be a long summer and recovery for him.
This was a moment of peace I had to capture with these three.
My friend Brandy came over and we made a cake for her friend Chad for his birthday. It was a cherry chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting.
Friday night the civilized kids had a sleepover at my sister Marian's house, with other cousins. Lucy, Lincoln and Lilly are in the above picture.
The cousins and Uncle Wayne playing a Lego video game.
They also colored eggs for the Easter egg hunt the next day at Grandma and Grandpa Egberts.
They said Lilly really really loved it.
The other thing that happened over spring break was Glen tiled the shower. I feel like I should be shouting with joy for this but really I want a redo of spring break. It was basically the kids and me. Glen had to go in to the office Monday and Tuesday and then was consumed by tiling the shower.
You know how there is a cost/ price to everything you do in life? Well I am still not sure that this shower was worth the cost in Glen's time, my sanity and no great family activities over spring break to the money we saved having him tile it and not someone we hired. Such is life. Live and learn.
He did a great job and it is beautiful. He just has to seal it and tile the bathroom floor now.
