I forgot in my snipets to mention that Thursday the 18th, Glen and I got to go out to lunch with Larry, Janene and Janae. It was the first time I had seen Janae in months. Her hair is getting really long and extra pretty. She’s pretty busy with teaching and doing home and hospital visits after school.
We got together to celebrate Glen’s and Larry’s birthdays.
It seems like they are all doing well. Kayla is living in the dorms and going to the University of Utah and working at the Nordstrom’s cafe and loving it. Josh is playing football and the coaches know his name which is suppose to be good. He has a car, he drives around from a deal he worked out with his dad, a girlfriend and I think a job at Taco Bell still. Cole is doing well in middle school and is at the same school Janae teaches. Topher likes 6th grade and having a male teacher for a change.
We don’t see Janae or her kids much. They don’t come to family dinners we have every other Sunday or so. I don’t feel like we are welcome to go visit them at their house unless we are invited and we have not been. We just have to wait for when they are willing to interact with us. I think they think screens are more important than people, which is sad for them, and hard to swallow sometimes for us. We know we are cooler than that but it is what it is. It’s probably more or less complicated than this too. I feel like I have been too judgmental, rude and voiced a you should do things my way opinion too much. I am trying to change that and just love them for who they are and where they are. It’s a process ...
I have probably said too much and will have to come up with a better thought to think, that serves me better.
It was a really good lunch and visit at PF Chang’s. Plus we planned getting together for family pictures and figured out a place to go for a family trip next summer to celebrate Larry’s 80th birthday and Larry and Janene’s 45 wedding anniversary. It’s good to know we have something with them on the calendar.
I am always to wordy. We’ll see how long I leave this up.

Sadly we are not coming your way on that trip. We need to figure out when we can though.
And yes Janae seems happier and I am so glad you got to see her for a few minutes.
