Or work really hard.
What. A. Week.
The days seemed really long, but we made it through. My parents went out of town last Sunday and came back today. Marian and I were in charge of Evelyn all week. Thankfully, we have really helpful aunts, cousins and siblings and spouses to help us make it through.
Marian and I got a “great idea” to take the wallpaper that was falling off the walls in Evelyn’s bathroom off all the way and do something different. We thought it would be this great little project that we could get done before our parents came back. It went like most home repair projects and wasn’t as simple as planned. What can you expect with a very old house. We are close to being able to paint after several set backs. We had so much help from Aunt Stephaine and Aunt Maridean, and our cousin Carrie.
Then there was the other part of life.
With Lilly having her license, I started walking with Glen and the dogs to work and hustle back home. I stumbled over a lip in the side walk going to the school and then really caught it and fell good on the way home. I have good bruises on both knees but they haven’t been too sore since which has been a blessing.

We all went to see Lilly shine in her nurse, big kid, lion tamer, Russian roll in Matilda the musical on closing night. She does good work and is fun to watch!
Things are opening up a bit and our district has decided to hold two school dances, prom and senior dinner dance. Lilly got as to prom by her friend Camron, who Beth also claims as her boyfriend.

We found some interesting things taking of four or five layers of wallpaper from Evelyn’s bathroom. These big holes were some of them. They didn’t look new or like they had active residents so we missed over them. We just need the house to stay together till the end of Evelyn’s life. After that who knows what will happen to it.
Also I accidentally did a really good job of breaking one of the outlets all to pieces. Luckily my Uncle replaced it for us.
This was probably the best picture of the week. Ellie is a really great helper with Evelyn. She was helping to steady her as she came to the kitchen. Evelyn happened to be passing gas as she moved along. Luckily, Ellie was prepared. :)
We made another visit to Scheels and had to get pictures with a different statue.

The kids also took pictures of the fish. I don’t know who gets photo credit for these.
Lucy had a volleyball tournament Saturday thatGlen got to watch. She did great, and her team did pretty well but got knocked out of the tournament in a three set nail bitter.
We did church at home today and played it on the ceiling. We didn’t have the settings right so the counselor in the bishopric’s body is a bit distorted.
Also Gunner came in from being outside and went nuts barking at the ceiling with all those lights on it. We had to send him back outside.
It was a glorious day with great spring weather. We spent a lot of it outside. We went to Riverton park and played.
We also trimmed the goats hooves. We were extra careful because we have babies that could come as soon as the end of the week. Exciting times.
