This week we slogged through the last semi useful week of school before the filler days happen next week. There were good things that occurred on our way through it.
Visiting with Grandma and Grandpa Richins. The cat likes sitting with Grandpa.
We watched TaLyn graduate from high school thanks to YouTubeLive. It was pretty fast, with under 70 in her graduating class. Everything was over in under an hour.
Daryl participated in Music Through the Ages, the sixth grade end of year program. They performed it at Hidden Valley Middle School to accommodate all the family. It turned out great.
After the show, Grandma Richins, Beth and I were the ones free to come watch.
Ruth being silly. That is a coconut purse that can be used for multiple things.
The kids had their first backyard camp out of the year. Clara and Anna stayed with us a few nights while Joe and Julie went to rugby nationals with Lincoln. It was a little jump start to the summer.
With Lincoln out of town Glen, with some help gave Lincoln new wallpaper in his room. Just to return the favor.
Some other happenings that didn’t get pictures were-
Putting little flags on all the graves of the veterans resting in Herriman Cemetery.
Daryl got released from speech because of the progress he has made and it will make middle school simpler.
Glen had his last week of working senior awards and end of high school events for hopefully a long time.
Our neighbor Jay Webb passed away at 93. He came and dug out our window wells with his backhoe when we remodeled the basement. He would also grow a big vegetable garden and drop ears of corn off at our house randomly through the summer. Arla , Evelyn’s hospice nurse was his nurse for the roughly six weeks he was on hospice. I liked being able to see her car at his house even if I didn’t get to see her.
(not many people are on hospice as long as Evelyn.)
